연세대학교에서 중어중문학을 전공했습니다. 샌프란시스코에 본사를 둔 미디어 모니터링 SaaS 스타트업인 멜트워터에서 세일즈 서포트 엔지니어로 커리어를 시작했습니다. 중문학을 전공한 덕에 상해 지사 설립에 참여했습니다. 멜트워터 근무 시절 틈틈이 TED 영상 번역을 하다가TEDxSeoul을 창립, 3년 가량 운영했습니다. TED를 통해 아이디어와 사람을 연결해 창출할 수 있는 시너지에 주목했고, 이를 실질적인 결과물로 옮길 수 있는 방안을 찾던 중 국내 최고의 스타트업 지원기관 중 하나로 자리매김한 D.CAMP에 1호 직원으로 합류했습니다. D.CAMP에서는 최초 부동산 물색에서부터 각종 프로그램 기안과 시행, 대미/대중 국제 사업 개발 등 국내 스타트업 생태계 활성화를 위해 노력해 왔습니다. 그러던 중 삼성에서 스핀오프한 웨어러블 스타트업 이놈들연구소에 합류, 사업개발 팀장으로서 제품을 킥스타터에서 론치하여 약 150만불(한화 16.5억원)을 벌어들이며, 2009년 킥스타터 창립 이래 있었던 35만여 프로젝트 가운데 107위를 기록하는 좋은 결과를 거두었습니다. 지금은 이놈들연구소로부토 퇴사하여 여러가지 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다.
Hahn Ryu is an early-stage growth marketer and business developer based in Seoul. His strength lies in identifying a marketing strategy and flexibly engaging with the strategy in changing circumstances. He’s also known for his ability to build relationships and grow the initial community of key clients and customers, which is crucial for any startup’s early success.
While currently serving as country director for Mobiuso Korea office, he also helps early-stage startups in the hardware and medical industries with their marketing and international business development efforts.
He was previously a director of business development at Innomdle Lab, a Samsung spin-off startup that is developing a wearable device that allows users to make and receive calls with a fingertip touched to the ear. He successfully closed a Kickstarter campaign that raised a fund of approximately $1.5m, ranking it at #107 (0.03%) in the all-time history on the Kickstarter platform.
Before joining Innomdle, he served as a manager of international business development at D.CAMP, one of Korea’s first and largest startup campuses, with a $450m fund. As its founding team, he was involved in planning the campus, initiating a variety of programs, building the community of entrepreneurs and startups from ground-up, and bridging the local startup ecosystem with overseas investors and customers.
He is also founder of TEDxSeoul and served as TEDx Korea’s inaugural ambassador. Previously he worked for Meltwater Group as a sales support engineer in its San Francisco HQ and Shanghai office. He holds a B.A. degree in Chinese studies in Yonsei University in Seoul.

Hi Hahn, I saw that you translated the Reinventing Organizations Video into Korean on the web. I am holding a regional webinar on the topic of “Reinventing Organizations” on April 21st at 7:00 a.m. New York time, which is 1:00 p.m. Zurich time, and 9:00 p.m. Japan/Korea time. I am currently reading the abridged, illustrated version of the book and, in the webinar, I will share some of the insights/highlights from the book. The webinar is free for IMA members, who are mostly Finance Directors, FP&A managers, controllers, etc. Worldwide, we have over 125,000 members in 150 countries. I am responsible for Japan and Korea specifically. The webinar is usually one‐hour or 1.5 hours and provide CPE (continuous professional education) credit. IMA Webinars normally average 1,800+ registrants and 1,000+ attendees. For this regional webinar, since the US Audience will most likely not attend, I think we might get half of that number. My motivation to do a webinar right now is that our Asian members are suffering with COVID19 impact and they will appreciate online training. therefore, I wanted to ask if you would you be willing to join me as guest speaker? I found some Japanese organizations who are implementing Teal principles. I am interested in why you translated the video and to interview you on how you see Teal organizations forming in Korea.
